Water Cooler/Filtration System
The NAWASA water supply to the home is intermittent, often requiring water to be
drawn from a large concrete water tank beneath the building. It is considered unsafe
to drink this water without boiling. Boiling is not only an inconvenience, but costly
relative to the amount of cooking gas required. The drinking water supply to the
children is sometimes limited.
A commercial (office type) water cooler with a purification
system attached would
(1) provide a ready source of chilled water encouraging the
children to drink, and
(2) provide a safe source of drinking water.
Estimated cost
of the delivered and installed equipment is EC$6,800, UK£1585.00 or US$2,500
